THE CLIENT
Two Practitioners, Two Pioneering Practices, One Shared Vision
To understand why working with Ani and Brian has been one of the most meaningful partnerships of my career, you have to understand where they started, and just how much ground they have covered to get where they are today.
Brian Trzaskos, PT, LMT, CSCS, CMI, left the western medical system to found Ascent Wellness, a private pay holistic rehabilitation practice built on the belief that injury and chronic pain deserved a more whole-person approach than conventional physical therapy was offering. He brought years of clinical expertise and a deep conviction that the body had more capacity for healing than most people were being told.
Ani Anderson, OT, LMT, CEMP, built Head to Sole Bodywork alongside him — her own private pay practice specializing in energy medicine and manual techniques for children and families navigating stress, anxiety, and neurodiversity. Her work sat at the intersection of the physical and the energetic, the clinical and the deeply intuitive.
Two separate practices. Two distinct methodologies. And underneath both of them, a shared belief that human healing is more expansive and more possible than the mainstream had yet to catch up to.
When they eventually combined forces to serve their community in the Adirondack mountains of New York, creating NEW Health, a wellness center housing multiple private pay holistic practitioners, it wasn't just a business merger. It was the natural convergence of two people who had always been building toward the same thing.
THE CHALLENGE
Three Phases, Three Iterations, One Continuous Thread
Ani and Brian's story is not a straight line. It is a series of deepening expressions of the same core vision with each phase more refined, more expansive, and more impactful than the last. I was there for all of it.
NEW Health
As their combined wellness center grew, so did their reach. They began training other rehabilitation practitioners in the cutting-edge energy medicine, tai chi, and qigong methods that were producing remarkable results with their own clients. Other practitioners were asking: "Can you teach me how to get those results?" The answer was yes — and the online presence needed to reflect that expanded mission. Multiple website iterations, relaunches, and marketing materials evolved alongside the business. This is when I entered the picture to partner with Ani and Brian.
Somatic Coaching Academy
The Somatic Coaching Academy (SCA) didn't come from a business plan. It came from other practitioners seeing what Ani and Brian had created through their three proprietary methods and asking to be taught. SCA became the unified home for everything: training organizational leaders, certifying somatic coach professionals, and advancing the holistic industry at large. I designed and developed the flagship SCA website, redesigned their Instagram grid, and built a complete template system so their growing team could execute consistently without Ani in every detail.
At every phase, the working relationship was the same: Ani would share what was in her head — sometimes detailed, sometimes a voice note caught between sessions — and I would synthesize it into something finished. Over eight years, that process became almost effortless. I knew her vision well enough that the gaps filled themselves.

THE RESULT
From Two Practitioners to an Academy That Is Changing an Industry
When Ani and Brian first reached out to me, it was just the two of them — two brilliant practitioners building something meaningful in the Adirondack mountains of New York, doing everything themselves with the kind of focused energy that meaningful work requires.
What the Somatic Coaching Academy looks like today is a different picture entirely.
“Meghan is my go-to web designer and marketing support person. Not only is she a joy to work with, I know I can count on her for a fresh, clean design. Her designs always feel refreshing and spacious, which is exactly the feeling I want my potential customers to have when they are using our site. Meghan not only designs our websites, but also our membership areas and Instagram accounts which gives our customers a seamless feeling no matter where they are on their buying journey. I emphatically recommend Meghan for any design job. She is fantastic to work with and her work is the highest of quality.”
— Ani Anderson, CEO of Somatic Coaching Academy
A fully realized Academy
Somatic Coaching Academy now trains organizational leaders, certifies somatic coach professionals, and advances the holistic industry through world-class programs and a growing podcast that is elevating the conversation about what it means to be human.
Three proprietary methods
Through the evolution of their practice, Ani and Brian developed three proprietary methods producing results so remarkable that other practitioners sought them out specifically to be trained. The Academy was born from that demand.
Multiple trained coaches on staff
The Somatic Coaching Academy now employs more than a dozen coaches and professionals personally trained in their methodology — allowing Ani and Brian to operate fully in their CEO roles rather than delivering every session themselves.
A scalable brand system
The Instagram template library and brand system gave the growing team the infrastructure to create consistent, on-brand content independently — a necessity when you are running an organization of this scale.
Eight years and running of creative partnership
The most telling result: we are still working together. The relationship has outlasted three major business iterations because it was never just about deliverables. It was built on knowing, trust, and a shared commitment to the vision.
THE BIGGER LESSON
On Voice Notes, Creative Synthesis, and the Long Game
There is a particular kind of creative partnership that only becomes possible over time. Where you know someone's vision well enough that very little needs to be explained. Where a scattered voice note is enough information to produce a finished product — because the knowing is already there.
That is what Ani and I built over eight years. She is brilliant, prolific, and always thinking three steps ahead. The ideas come fast. The work is sophisticated and nuanced — somatic methodology is not easy to translate into language that a new visitor immediately understands and trusts. My job, throughout every phase, was to listen closely, synthesize what mattered most, and produce something that felt completely like her.
The most valuable thing I brought to this partnership was not technical skill — though that mattered. It was the ability to hold Ani's vision clearly enough to execute it, even when she was still finding the words for it herself.
What Ani and Brian have built is genuinely significant. Three proprietary methods. An Academy that is training practitioners and leaders at an international scale. A podcast advancing the conversation about what human beings are actually capable of. Dozens of coaches carrying their methodology into the world each year.
They built all of that. I got to help make sure the world could find it, trust it, and say yes to it.
Getting to run alongside something like that for eight years (and counting) is exactly why I do this work.
